How to play

  1. Tap the screen on the menu to start a dive.
  2. Drag your finger anywhere to steer the fish left and right.
  3. Pass through the gaps in the obstacles. Hitting one ends the dive.
  4. Your depth in metres is your score. Your deepest dive is saved.

Power-ups

  • Chakra Dash: super speed and you phase through everything for a few seconds.
  • Shield: absorbs a hit.
  • Magnet: pulls nearby pearls to you.
  • Slow: slows the dive so tight gaps are easier.
  • Wide: makes the safe gaps wider.

Each active power-up shows a ring timer on the left side of the screen.

Worlds

The scene changes every 140 metres: Ganga Ghat and four more painted worlds, then Dwarka, Surya Mandir and Ratna Guha.

Frequently asked questions

How do I mute the music or the pearl sound?
Use the small round icons at the top right during a dive, or on the pause screen. Music, pearl sound and effects each have their own icon, and the choice is remembered.
The game feels slow on my phone.
Open the menu and set GRAPHICS to LOW or MEDIUM. The game also lowers quality by itself if it detects slow frames.
Do I need the internet?
No. Matsya works fully offline and has no internet permission.
Is there any purchase or advertising?
No. There are no ads and no in-app purchases.
Where is my progress saved?
Only on your phone, in the app's private storage. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
